Army Institute of Management, Kolkata was established in the year 1997 by the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES), New Delhi. AIM Kolkata was formerly known as the National Institute of Management Calcutta and in the year 2005, the name was changed to Army Institute of Management. The institute is recognised by the University Grants Commission (UGC) and is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), Ministry of Human Resource Development, Government of India, New Delhi. The institute offers one progamme at the postgraduate level. AIMK course is M.B.A and the duration of the course is 2 years. With reference to your above mentioned query, I would like to tell you that you can apply for both of these Phases in SRMJEE. The Syllabus and exam pattern will be same for both of these phases so, phase 3 will not be much difficult as compared to phase 2.
Further, you should apply for phase 2 and phase 3 as giving exam in both of these phases will make you well prepared with the exam pattern and will help you to get familiar with the type of questions in the examination. After giving phase 2, if it doesn't goes so well, then you can also apply for phase 3 of SRMJEE also. So, you'll always have a backup .
The best of two sessions will be taken in to consideration for merit list which means that the highest score will be taken in to consideration. The applicant can apply for either one or both the sessions depending on their interests.
