I would suggest you to complete your 12th followed by Undergraduate or Postgraduate Education in some of the Top Technical Institutions in field of Aerospace, Avionics and Electronics like IIST Trivandrum, Top IITs, IISc Bangalore and so on.

However, since you insist on the Polytechnique Route. I can give you a solution. After your Diploma, you must go for a AMIE Associate Degree from Institution of Engineers or B.Tech Lateral Degree in either Mechanical, Electronics or Aerospace, followed by M.Tech from Top IITs or IISc Bangalore. ISRO has more vacancies in domains of Electronics and Mechanical than Aerospace, hence you must keep the latter as your last preference.

Following a M.Tech or PhD, there are many vacanies annually at Different Centers of ISRO under Scientist C or D, and you can easily secure an Opportunity by aceing the Qualifying Test conducted by ISRO followed by Interview.

However, after your Polytechnic degree or Diploma, you still have certain Opportunities with ISRO at Group C and D, Technical Assitant or Apprentice levels, but they are scarce and you must invest on higher education.

Hello Vishnu,

As we know that the CAT results are out so to predict you a handful of colleges we need to know your CAT 2020 percentile and other academic records which are to be considered for admission process of different B-Schools, since you have not mentioned your CAT 2020 percentile so it's quite difficult to guide you with an accurate information . However for different CAT 2020 percentiles I am enlisting down some colleges, it might help you in deciding your aimed college :-

@90+ Percentile

  • IIM Bangalore
  • IIM Ahmedabad
  • IIM Calcutta
  • DMS, IIT Delhi
  • IIM Lucknow
  • VGSoM, IIT Kharagpur
  • FMS, University of Delhi
  • SJMSoM, IIT Bombay
  • IIM Ranchi

@80-90 Percentile

  • SPJIMR Mumbai
  • IIM Rohtak
  • TAPMI Manipal
  • XIME Bangalore
  • FMS, BHU, Varanasi
  • Lal Bahadur Shastri Institute of Management, New Delhi
  • KJ Somaiya Institute of Management Studies and Research, Mumbai (SIMSR)

@60-80 Percentile

  • IIFM Bhopal
  • IBS Hyderabad
  • MNIT, Allahabad
  • IFIM Bangalore
  • IPE Hyderabad
  • Amrut Mody School of Management, Ahmedabad
  • PSG Institute of Management, Coimbatore
  • Alliance School of Business, Bangalore
  • Jaipuria Institute of Management, Lucknow
  • SCMS Cochin School of Business, Cochin
  • MS Ramaiah Institute of Management, Bangalore
  • Thiagarajar School of Management, Madurai

You can get complete list of B-Schools range wise from the link given below :-

https://bschool.careers360.com/articles/which-b-schools-will-you-get-based-on-your-percentile

But also note that for shortlisting of candidates for WAT/GD-PI your academic performance and diversity also comes into play means your academic performance in class 10th and 12th, you graduation percentage, graduation background and Job experience is also considered for admission to IIMs and other B-Schools in India. So suppose if you wane 98 percentile in CAT but very poor academic record then also you will have very less chances to get shortlisted by top IIMs, so keep note of this.

You can also use CAT Pathfinder to predict your chances to get call from different IIMs :-

I hope this information helps you.

Good Luck!!

hi,

see there is many candidates I have learned from various sources like newspapers, social media. they belongs to graduate from best tier 1 institutes of India like iits, nits, top bschools. they did work hard for indian civil service exam and crack it. however from my point of view there is no corrupted news I never heard. the candidates who was the topper of the civil service and very much dedicated towards their dream and they did finally achieved it..

so whatever exam you would prepare for future try to work hard and never alter your dedication. govt jobs are really hard to find and it even more difficult for general category students since the  number of applicants, cutoff score goes always high for general / open category.

hope it would help.
