College has top-class infrastructure with a well-organized campus. The classrooms are modern, airy, and equipped with technology to aid teaching. Computer labs and department labs are equipped with the latest tools. The library is excellent, with both physical books and e-resources. Hostel facilities are decent, with Wi-Fi and comfortable rooms. Students also have access to canteens, sports grounds, and gym facilities.

    Academics

All faculty are knowledgeable and always approachable. They make learning interesting by connecting theory with real-world applications. Teachers are supportive of research, projects, and extracurricular activities. They guide students in choosing career paths and preparing for competitive exams. Many professors bring industry insights into their teaching, making it practical and relevant. Students feel free to approach faculty for doubts, advice, and mentorship, which creates a supportive academic atmosphere.

    Placements

Placements are impressive every year in my college. Average salary packages range around ₹6–7 LPA, with the highest going beyond ₹40 LPA in top companies. CSE, ISE, and ECE students get excellent opportunities with IT giants and product-based companies. Core branches like Mechanical and Civil also see good placements in established companies, though fewer in number. Major recruiters include Amazon, Microsoft, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, and Bosch.

    College Infrastructure

My BMS college provides excellent infrastructure for students. The classrooms are designed for comfort and better learning, with projectors and digital tools. Labs are modern and well-equipped for hands-on training. The central library is large and offers access to international journals and online resources. Hostel facilities are good, with Wi-Fi, nutritious food, and safe living arrangements. The college has sports grounds, gymnasiums, and cultural activity halls, ensuring that students get both academic and non-academic growth.

    Academics

Faculty are well-qualified and very supportive. Many hold PhDs and are involved in research activities. They focus on holistic teaching and help students in both academics and projects. Professors encourage innovation and guide students in competitions, hackathons, and internships. They are also approachable for career guidance, whether it’s for placements, higher studies, or entrepreneurship.

    Placements

Good Placements are key thing in my college. The average package is ₹6–7 LPA, with top offers going above ₹40 LPA. Software and IT companies hire the largest number of students, but there are also good opportunities in core companies for non-IT branches. Big recruiters include Microsoft, Amazon, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Bosch, and Accenture. Students also get exposure to startups and international companies.

The library is vast, with e-learning resources and a good reading space. Hostels provide a safe and comfortable environment, with Wi-Fi and hygienic mess facilities. Academics

My department faculty are very student-friendly and approachable. Professors have strong subject knowledge and are always willing to help outside classroom hours. They encourage innovative thinking and support students in research and paper presentations. Many professors have industrial exposure, which helps in giving practical insights. Faculty also guide students for competitive exams like GATE, GRE, and CAT.

    Placements

    College Infrastructure

My college is one of the most well-developed campuses in Bangalore. The classrooms are spacious and equipped with projectors, making learning more interactive. Computer labs are regularly updated with modern systems and high-speed internet. Every branch has its own labs with the latest equipment. The central library is a big highlight, with thousands of books, journals, and e-resources. Hostel facilities are neat and secure, with Wi-Fi, good food, and common areas.

    Academics

Faculty are highly qualified, with many professors holding PhDs and years of teaching experience. They use practical examples to make subjects easier and more engaging. Teachers are approachable and encourage students to work on projects, research papers, and innovative ideas. Mentorship is strong, and professors guide students not only in academics but also in career decisions like higher studies, placements, or entrepreneurship.

    Placements

Placements are excellent and among the best in Bangalore. Top recruiters include Microsoft, Amazon, Accenture, TCS, Infosys, Wipro, and Bosch. The average package is around ₹6–7 LPA, while the highest has gone above ₹40 LPA for software roles. IT-related branches get the highest offers, but core branches like Mechanical, Civil, and Electrical also get opportunities in reputed companies. The placement cell provides training in coding,

College offers good opportunities but the campus is small.

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The campus is spread around 11 acres which include college of engineering, architecture and law. Campus area is a bit small but the buildings are well maintained especially the PJ Block. The classes are well equipped with tech and can accomodate a good amount of crowd

    Academics

The faculty in my department is great. The professors here have are great and will help you with your doubts. In case of a project, you'll be supported the faculty and the hod while developing and scaling it.

    Placements

Placement in bms are decent as for my department, the average package offered to them was around 10-11 lpa. Around 70% of the students were placed and were offered a decent package from different companies.

    Value for Money

Considering that it is a private college, the annual fee of approximately 2 to 2.5 lakh rupees can be regarded as reasonable, especially when compared to the tuition costs of other private institutions in India offering similar programs.

    Campus Life

Campus life at BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE) in Bengaluru is a vibrant blend of academics, cultural diversity, and extracurricular engagement. Situated in the heart of the city, the campus offers a lush, green environment complemented by Bengaluru's pleasant climate, creating an inviting atmosphere for students.

Classrooms had smart boards and projectors

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure is really good. The new building, called the Platinum Jubilee Block, is well maintained with fully equipped computer labs, classrooms that are big enough with smartboard facilities and the lighting and ventilation are also good. The library is good with a wide range of books and resources. Hostels are decent; they can do better with the management, as there are not enough rooms to accommodate people. The mess is quite hygienic but the food is very average. The hostelites have separate ground near the mess for games and sports.

    Academics

Most of the teachers are very professional and knowledgeable. They are easily approachable and they'll clarify the doubts. Yes, the course is curriculum relevant and they stick to the syllabus and it has all the required knowledge and skill development for upcoming industry trends. Semester exam corrections are very strict compared to internals so that's where the scoring drops down. Pass percentage is around 70-75%.

    Placements

Placements are good in BMSCE. Top companies like TCS, Accenture, etc., come here to interview the students. The college has a good placement training period also. The teachers, few of them, help in getting internship opportunities to students. The average package for my course is around 6-14 LPA.

Teaching staff always ready to help

    Verified Review
    College Infrastructure

Everything like labs, computer lab, library, classrooms, and Wi-Fi is great but the campus is small. The hostel is very expensive around Rs. 2.3 LPA, so students try to stay in PGs and many PGs are nearby. Canteen, sports, and games facilities are good. We also have a gym, indoor stadium, etc.

    Academics

Most teachers are great except one or two. Teachers are highly qualified and many have PhDs. But students should do self-study to be ahead as colleges do not give depth knowledge. Course curriculum is old one followed by VTU. If students read the properly, it is easy. Passing percentage is 1/3rd of the total.

    Placements

This year, there is almost 86% of placements rate is there. But students have to learn in depth in their field as college only teaches not so in deep. The highest salary package offered is 50 LPA, for AIML branch, and the lowest salary package offered ranges from 5 LPA - 6 LPA. Different types of companies visit campus. Internships are less this year, only 5 to 10 students got it.

    College Infrastructure

Facilities and infrastructure for my course are very good, like they have Wi-Fi, AC, charging ports in every classroom and lab. Faculty is also very cooperative and helpful if you want some help. The quality of the food in the mess is above average, but it's good compared to other PGs and hostels. BMS sports facilities are the best thing I came across so far. They always have some kind of tournament coming up, and you will get all the facilities for training and playing. If you get injured, medical facilities are also available.

    Academics

The teachers in this college are very good and helpful. If you have any doubts, they will take extra classes for you to understand the concept, give you notes, and assign tasks for better clarity. Semester exams are of decent difficulty. If you have attended the classes, you won't have any problems scoring good marks.

    Placements

Almost all of the students in our course got placed, and the highest package was around 30 to 35 LPA as per my information. Amazon, Wipro, Infosys were some of the top recruiting companies. All the students got internships except a few. Faculty will make sure that you will get placed. Even some people got internships from the 2nd year.

    College Infrastructure

The infrastructure at BMSCE is Good , and the campus is not very big. However, all the necessary facilities are available, and the faculty is very polite and supportive. The hostel facility is average, and the food in the mess is good compared to other colleges. The medical facilities are not up to the mark, but the canteen is good. In terms of sports, you get a lot of opportunities to participate in a variety of sports, both indoors and outdoors.

    Academics

The faculty at BMSCE is outstanding, but the exams can be a bit hectic. For example, in the first semester, they complete the first semester in 3 months and conduct internal exams in each month. The exams are taken afterwards, and the best 2 out of 3 CIEs are considered. Also, there is a strict 85% attendance rule in the college. The difficulty level of the exams is moderate.

    Placements

My branch has decent placements that are increasing each year. About 70-80% of students get placed through college recruitment, and the rest are placed through off-campus placements. The highest package offered was about 46 Lacs, and the average is 12 Lacs for my branch. In terms of internships, 70% of the students who applied got internships. The top roles offered were data management and web development.

Have a question related to BMSCE Bangalore ?

Yes, to get admission into colleges that come under PMSSS (Prime Minister’s Special Scholarship Scheme) such as RV College of Engineering (RVCE), BMS College of Engineering (BMSCE), and other private engineering colleges in Karnataka, you generally need to qualify through the regular engineering admission process of the state or the institute. PMSSS itself does not conduct a separate entrance exam; it only provides a scholarship to eligible students after admission.

For most Karnataka engineering colleges like RVCE and BMSCE, admission is primarily done through KCET (Karnataka Common Entrance Test) for state quota seats and through COMEDK UGET for management/private quota seats. Students applying under PMSSS are usually required to secure admission through one of these recognised entrance exams, depending on the seat category available for PMSSS candidates in that particular college.

In some cases, if you are opting for management quota seats, the college may consider your JEE Main score or conduct its own admission process, but this varies from college to college. After securing admission through the approved entrance route, eligible students from J&K and other notified regions can then apply for PMSSS to receive the scholarship benefits.

So, in summary, you are required to appear for an entrance exam like KCET, COMEDK, or sometimes JEE Main, depending on the college and seat type. PMSSS works as a financial support scheme and not as an alternative admission route. It is important to check the admission brochure of both the college and PMSSS for the specific year to understand seat availability and eligibility conditions clearly.

    All the best.

    Hello,

Yes, if you already have the SNQ quota, it will continue in the next rounds also.

So, if you get PES RR CS (AI/ML) in the next round, it will also be allotted under the SNQ quota.

You don’t need to apply for SNQ again, it remains the same for all rounds.

    Hope it helps!

    Hey Param:)

    Thanks for reaching out!

In KCET counselling, the SNQ quota seats are fixed separately for every college and branch, and they don't automatically transfer if you upgrade. Right now, you have BMSCE CSE under SNQ, but if you try for PES RR (AI/ML) in the next round, you will get the SNQ benefit there, only if that branch has SNQ seats left and your rank is high enough to secure one. Otherwise, even if you get the seat, it maybe alloted under regular quota and you won't get the tution fee waiver . That's why it's important to select choice-2 while trying for an update, so that your BMSCE SNQ seat remains safe if you don't get the new SNQ seat at PES RR. This way you won't lose the benefit you already hold.

    Hope this helps!
