As a CSE student at BMS College of Engineering, the quality of teaching is quite good and aligned with current industry needs. The curriculum is updated regularly, usually every 2–3 years, to include modern technologies and keep students relevant in a fast-changing field. Faculty members focus not only on theoretical concepts but also on practical understanding. Many subjects include assignments and projects that encourage creativity and real-world application of concepts. These projects help students better understand how what they learn is actually used, rather than just memorizing theory. Overall, the teaching approach supports both academic learning and skill development in a balanced and effective way.

BMS College of Engineering, established in 1946, has a well-structured and organized campus. It has four engineering buildings, including a dedicated block for Mechanical. Computer-related courses are conducted in a modern building with air-conditioned classrooms and smart boards, providing a comfortable learning environment. The other two buildings follow a traditional setup with benches and chalkboards, yet they are well maintained and functional. The laboratories are equipped with modern computers and are well maintained for practical learning. The campus also features a well-kept indoor stadium for activities like table tennis, basketball, chess, and badminton

Campus life at BMS College of Engineering is vibrant and engaging. The college encourages students to take part in extracurricular activities, especially in technical and academic areas through hackathons, workshops, and similar events. Along with academics, BMS provides a great platform for sports, dance, singing, and other talents through various fests and events. These fests also include many fun activities and entertainment events, making campus life enjoyable and lively while helping students relax and connect with others.

At BMS College of Engineering, placements are well organized with a dedicated placement team and a separate office to manage all related activities. The college invites reputed, high-profile companies, giving students strong opportunities to begin their careers. Most of the recruitment process, including technical tests and interviews, is conducted within the campus itself, making it convenient and well structured. The placement team also provides training programs during the 3rd year, which are very useful and effective in preparing students for aptitude tests, technical rounds, and interviews. They work hard to guide students throughout the process, helping them build confidence and improve their skills, leading to successful placements.

For the fee of over ₹10 lakhs per year, it may not initially seem fully worth it. However, considering the overall quality of education, infrastructure, and placement opportunities, the college does offer good value in many aspects. Personalized attention for each student may be limited, but that is quite common in professional courses, so it is generally not a major concern.

Faculty are well organized and well qualified, all have good experience in teaching, and the quality is also very good. The course curriculum is relevant, and it does prepare students for the industry. Semester exams are average, and the maximum number of students pass the end sem exam.

Facilities are proper. 24/7 Wi-Fi connection and labs for different purposes, which are helpful for research and development. Properly silent, good, and large library. Hostel quality is so good, the mess is clean, the canteen is clean, and it provides a variety. Medical facilities are also good, and sports and games are on top.

77% are placed, and the highest package is 50 LPA, the lowest is 4 LPA, and the average is 10 LPA. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, IBM, Infosys, and Accenture. 40% student got internship and in different companies, as I have listed above. Roles are software engineer, AI engineer, and many more.

All the odd semesters are mostly tough as far as I'm concerned. Teachers are good, very helpful, and very cooperative (if you are an enthusiastic person). It is as if you ask the teachers, they help, they don't spoon-feed. Courses are relevant, also very good courses, not only teach you core subjects, but they also teach you life.

The best hostels are here with good food and facilities. It is within the campus, and students enjoy their lives here. The hostel canteens are very good, and the very famous medical facilities are also good, as they have their own hospital nearby. Wi-Fi is good, and the labs are very advanced.

Around 70 percent people get placed. 38 LPA is the highest, and 11 LPA is the average, which these college placements provide. Almost all the companies come, 60-70% people get internships in their 5th sem which is the 3rd year of engineering, SDE, and many other roles are offered, and it is worth it.
