GCE, Ramanagara Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

Ghousia College of Engineering (GCE), Ramanagara. It is a reputed college providing courses for various engineering programs at both undergraduate and postgraduate levels. The institute has a well-laid admission process whereby eligible students are brought to various courses. The GCE is affiliated to Viveshwaraiah Technological University (VTU) and approved by the All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE). Normally, the admission process for GCE will start during May to June for the academic year beginning during August to September. Admission Process for B.Tech:

1. Attain eligibility for the Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) conducted by the Karnataka Examination Authority (KEA).
2. Register for counseling through the official KEA website.
3. During counseling, select GCE and preferred courses.
4. If allotted, report to GCE for document verification and fee payment. 

Admission Process for M.Tech

1. Qualify in Karnataka Post Graduate Common Entrance Test (PGCET).
2. Register for counseling on the official KEA website.
3. During counseling, select GCE and preferred specialization of M.Tech.
4. If selected, proceed to admission formalities at GCE.

MBA, M.Sc., and Ph.D.:

1. Obtain qualifying score in corresponding entrance examination (PGCET for M.Sc. and Ph.D.)
2. Follow application procedure as announced by Karnataka Examination Authority.
3. Attend counseling process if shortlisted.
4. Attend admission process at GCE if finally selected.

Degree-wise Admission Process

For the B.Tech degree, the college offers varied B.Tech courses with an intake capacity of 480 seats. The admission procedure is on the basis of KCET scores. The Main B.Tech courses offered in GCE are Computer Science and Engineering (180 seats), Electronics and communication engineering (60), Information Science & Engineering (60), Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning (60), Mechanical Engineering (30), Electrical and Electronics Engineering (30), Civil Engineering (30), and Cyber Security (30). The candidates must have completed their 10+2 with Physics, Mathematics & Chemistry as subjects, and must qualify in KCET.

M.Tech programs are offered by the college in a range of specializations such as Structural Engineering (18 seats), Computer Science and Engineering (18 seats), Manufacturing Science and Engineering (9 seats), Power System Engineering (9 seats) and Machine Design (9 seats). Admission to the M.Tech program is primarily based on PGCET scores. Applicants need to possess a B.E./B.Tech. degree in a relevant field.

GCE has a Master of Business Administration (MBA). There is no clear mention of how the admission for this program is done.

M.Sc: GCE offers M.Sc by Research in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Civil Engineering, Physics, and Chemistry. Candidates with the relevant bachelor's degree can apply for admission through PGCET.
