Gopalan College of Engineering and Management (GCEM), Bangalore, stands to offer engineering programs in a well-established fashion. With the college sitting right in the most sought-after IT parks in Bangalore, engineers gather there for an international standard of education or for an exposure to the industry. For the academic session starting around August/September, and applications generally open around May/June up to the Puttaparthi campus. As for the examination types, the GCEM admission process is designed to take in only the premier institutions from the national and state levels and look into some well-known papers. In addition to this, the criteria include Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main and Karnataka Common Entrance Test (KCET) for primary consideration. The applicant must qualify in any of these exams for admission.
To be accepted in an undergraduate engineering program, it is mandatory that an applicant has passed 10+2 or any equivalent standard from any recognized board. Most of the courses require an aggregate of 50% marks either overall or at least in the optional subjects. B.E/B.Tech applicants must have studied either Science with at least 50%, with Physics and Mathematics as compulsory subjects in their 12th standard, states the course. The deadline is also around the first week of July; however, prospective applicants are encouraged to keep visiting the college website to verify exact dates. Both online and offline applications are accepted, bolstering the applicability for the candidates. BE MECH: The program has an approved intake of 30 students. Applicants must have passed any of the entrance exams; CET/COMED-K/JEE. The course mainly consists of mechanics, dynamics, fluid dynamics, etc.
BE ECE: Applied intake recognized in terms of the big number of students with 120 seats and is based on entrance test performance and other grades gained during 10+2. This broad program has its fair share in electronic phenomena and communication technology studies.
BE IT: is designed to bring the brightest minds to consider the solid foundation of computer science and software engineering; this particular program has its intake of 180 seats. In order to get some help, the various admission reaches JEE, along with what are overnight wonders in Karnataka, carrying COMED-K (which later went to state-wide) and also CET (state-wide) but also for international giant JEE.
BE AERO: With its validation observed in aerospace industries, GCEM introduced students to an intake of 60 seats. It is largely based on getting substantial scores on entrance tests and for upholding the same for academic performance; it compliments aircraft design and aerospace systems and translates into learning opportunities.
BE IS: The class has been allocated 60 in capacity, is another unique course where computer science finds its compatibility with information systems, which guarantees a promising future in cutting-edge IT and software fields.
BE AI &ML: This dynamic program stipulates 60 out of its adherence for confirming applications. Since interested candidates must either pass their entrance test-JEE or Karnataka's CET or Karnataka's COMED-K examination, the syllabus targets AI implementations and machine learning algorithms.
It is good college for educations and to acquire more knowledge. Faculty are helpful in our college, and they support in clearing the doubts regularly. It as very good quality education with well qualified professors.
I am studying engineering 2nd year.our curriculum is updated our department conducts many technical events. Many technical events were conducted by department under experienced experts. Our department also conducted many events.
The motto that student should learn beyond the academics is the best part of GCEM. Mini project and experiential learning is the good practice by the faculty. Additional training will be given in line with placements.
