Admission to the courses offered by NIFT Mumbai are done through the NIFT exam. Depending upon the courses in which admission is desired, candidates need to appear for a Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT), Group Discussion (GD) and Personal Interview (PI) sessions. B.Des	NIFT	Candidates must have completed class 12 from a recognized Central or State Board of Secondary Examination. Candidates who have passed the Senior Secondary School Examination administered by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects are also eligible. Applicants possessing a diploma recognized by either AICTE or State Board of Technical Education, with a duration of either 3 or 4 years are also eligible. Candidates who have passed any examination conducted by a public school, board or university in India or abroad, which is acknowledged by the Association of Indian Universities as being equivalent to the 10+2 educational system can also apply. Candidates who have passed exams such as the General Certificate of Education (GCE) at the Avanced (A)level from London, Cambridge, Sri Lanka or the International Baccalaureate can also apply. Candidates should be less than 23 years as of August 1 of that year. Candidates who belong to reserved categories will get five years of relaxation.
B.F.Tech Apparel Production	NIFT	Candidates must have completed class 12 from a recognized Central or State Board of Secondary Examination with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects. Applicants possessing a diploma recognized by either AICTE or State Board of Technical Education, with a duration of either 3 or 4 years are also eligible. Candidates who have passed the Senior Secondary School Examination administered by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects including Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics are also eligible. Candidates who have passed any examination conducted by a public school, board or university in India or abroad, which is acknowledged by the Association of Indian Universities as being equivalent to the 10+2 educational system with Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics subjects can also apply. M.Des	NIFT	Candidates possessing undergraduate degree in any discipline from any recognized institute can apply. Candidates having a diploma of minimum 3 years duration from NIFT/ NID are also eligible. There is no age limit.
Master of Fashion Management (MFM)	NIFT	Candidates possessing undergraduate degree in any discipline from any recognized institute can apply. Candidates having a diploma of minimum 3 years duration from NIFT/ NID are also eligible.

NIFT Mumbai Admission Process

Admission to B.Des course: Candidates need to appear for a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates need to undergo a situation test for the final selection.
Admission to BFT Apparel Production course: Candidates need to appear for a General Ability Test (GAT).
Admission to MFM course: Candidates need to appear for a written test consisting of General Ability Test (GAT) followed by a group discussion and personal interview session.
Admission to M.Des course: Candidates need to appear for an entrance examination consisting of a Creative Ability Test (CAT) and General Ability Test (GAT). Shortlisted candidates need to undergo a personal interview session.

Academics

The curriculum is same in all the campuses and pretty good faculties. They are teaching pretty good they always help students in getting the knowledge they have.. though faculty is a bit inexperienced in new campuses like daman and Srinagar but old campuses are amazing in terms of faculty. They will always be available to help you with internships and assignments.

Basically in initial years we learn the subjects of mixed departments and in the later years we are given specialized knowledge about our own department. It is basically practical based course. But can't say it makes us job ready yet because I'm still learning in the initial year.

Both the course and the city, Mumbai is best place to study.

What is the way to get in UG diploma in fashion styling at nift?

Hello aspirant,

You can enrol in a recognised Creative Fashion Styling course. The course is 6 months long and is offered part-time.

Candidates are chosen based on their marks in 10+2 or diploma exams, as well as their performance in a personal interview.

Hope you are doing great as per the question asked by you as you have mentioned about that you want to apply for N.I.F.T examination 2020 which has been already conducted hence you can not apply for it you should certainly apply for N.I.F.T 2022 in upcoming years.
