Pretty decent college, I would recommend for sure.

    College Infrastructure

Yes it has all the equipment’s and tools required for our course study Not all the classrooms have AC though so it gets really hot in the summers The wifi is alright the library has pretty much all the books we need, most of the things are well maintained and clean.

    Academics

Most of the faculty is good the academics of some departments are really strict and well maintained while some aren’t as well as they should be. They have removed a lot of disciplines from my department (accessories) and high I originally came here for so if one wants to do product and lifestyle design or industrial design Chennai campus might not be it

    Placements

Placement fell of my department is decent I’ve seen some of my seniors get placed easily to good and well known companies but one needs to have a quality portfolio which isn’t always accomplished through college work. The faculty in AD department are very supportive and helpful when it comes to guidance.

    Value for Money

The bdes course is like 400-500k a year which is more expensive than other courses, personally i think the roi of design course isn’t as much unless you are very successful and well known. Personally this college is better than Pvt colleges regarding value for money

    Campus Life

The campus is decent we have some or the other activity happening every month we have various clubs to be a part of, The fest life isn’t as good as the North Indian or engineering colleges the faculty is also very chill and fun they vibe with you like friends the location is amazing we have almost everything we need nearby itself since it’s right on the main road

    Others

If one is very self disciplined and self motivated to join other programs and side courses and internships on their own apart from college then they can surely have a very successful career later but since the faculty is quite lenient with the curriculum and marking I feel like students don’t take their work and studies as seriously as they should, the campus overall is quite good the faculty is really good as well.

The experience was okay with the college.

    College Infrastructure

The college is in chennai and most of the classes doesn’t have Ac and it is way to hot to work or to sit in class because of the temperature. The students are paying alot of fees but still people do not get their individual machines and equipments. A student still try to manage things out but still it’s alot of struggle and waste of time as 2 or sometimes 6 people are there to work on the same machine. The wifi doesn’t works nicely and they boys hostel is disgusting. The food they provide is bad

    Academics

I was studying in Textile designing (B.des) . There are excellent teachers but 1-2 teachers not good interms of behaviour and also they take out their rivalry by degrading grades. The quality of teaching is good. The teachers are knowledgeable no doubt in that. The curriculum could have been more updated though as the things are becoming better and vast. The teaching definitely makes a person job ready but if they can teach few more important softwares it would be very beneficial for students.

    Placements

Alot of my seniors and even me are suffering for the placements. There are alot of companies which comes for placement but the seats are very less. The money they offers is very less . Highest package was 18lakhs for the masters students but also out of so many centers there was only few seats. Average salary offered was 20000-25000 or may be even low. The college was not supportive. The placement process was very bad. Few companies didn’t even come despite being mentioned in the list.

    Value for Money

My course costed me around 3.5 lakhs per year and it’s a 4 year course (just fees). Right now i don’t feel the money which is being offered is worth as students puts alot of effort and are working day and night just for pennies. Hope so it increases as i have heard it does increase by time to time. Hopefully someday it would be worthy. Also there are people who take alot of work for free . They don’t pay students even for convenience.

    Campus Life

College life is good in nift. It’s both work and enjoyment there. The best feature is that it is lively and there are alot of events which keep happening in the college. The worst feature is that students are not allowed to go outside the campus until and unless the college time get over no matter you have class or not but they don’t allow u most of the times to go out.

Currently i am studying fashion course here because i want to be a fashion designer the quality of teaching is also very good and amazing all the curriculum is updated and includes all the recent development in the field and the content i am studying really makes me job ready

    Placements

Quality of placement is also very amazing in our colledge almost 90% students gets placed at the emd of each and every session the highest salary wash offered is 25 lakh per annum which is offered to one of the student of b. Des and the average salary is offered rs 8 lakh per annum the placement process is also very easy and amazing and the colledge is too much supportive

    Value for Money
