College Infrastructure

The College premises is quite small but enough. Has abundant resources and anything and everything a student needs. The building is old but very elegant and neatly kept. Extremely hygienic and hospitable.

Academics

I love the approach design colleges take especially nift. It doesn't let a question paper define a student's worth. Constant redos and scrutiny by the faculty, lets the best come out in us while preparing us for the harsh world.

Placements

As a beginner, the placements are adequate. One needs to work hard and apply themselves to prove their kind. Its not served in a silver platter but that's even better. Students get placed abundantly here.

Value-for-money

The course is very costly. Not for the faint hearted. The fees itself is quite high and the extra stationery expenses, drain you out like nothing else. Feels like you're studying in a private college .

Campus Life

Brilliant campus life. The safest place to explore yourself. Nobody judges you whether what you're offering is mundane or extra ordinary. Extremely vibrant and fun atmosphere where after some point you can't help but feel at home.

College Infrastructure

NIFT Kolkata has all the necessary facilities. The classrooms are very spacious and the labs have all the necessary tools. The hostel is maintained and has free Wi-Fi facility. The canteen and mess food is also great.

Academics

I'm a BFT second year student and the faculties are really helpful. They are really helpless; even in the times of covid they are always there to clear our doubts. The curriculum is up to date and includes all the recent developments.

Placements

They provide a top class placement with 95% of the student getting placed. The highest salary offered is 10L per annum and the average salary ranges from six to seven lakhs per annum. And the placement process is really simple.

Value-for-money

My course costs around three lakhs per year including the tuition and stationery expenses. the amount of knowledge I'm gaining from here is totally worth the money as they always prioritize creative teaching methods.

Campus Life

The college organizes many events and activities which includes various sports competition and cultural activities. the college fest is main highlight. The location of the college is the add on advantage.

Anything Else

What I'm learning here is worth the price. The quality of placements, college's location, supporting faculty members and a really good infrastructure helps in providing a perfect atmosphere to grow and nurture one's capabilities.

College Infrastructure

NIFT Kolkata has all the necessary infrastructure and facilities. The classrooms are very spacious. The labs have all the necessary tools and equipments. The girl's hostel is well maintained with free WiFi facilities. The canteen and mess food is also great!

Academics

Leather bags always fascinated me, so I took leather design as my department. The facilities are really helpless; even in the times of covid, there are always ready to help and explain times more than twice! The curriculum is up to date and include all the recent developments; it makes me job-ready!

Placements

The quality of placements at my college is top-class! Almost 95% of students get placed. The highest salary offered is 10L per annum for Fashion Communication department. The average salary is about 7L per annum. The placement process is easy.

Value-for-money

My course costs almost 3-4 lakhs per year including the tuition fees and stationary expenses. What I'm learning here is absolutely worth the price!

Campus Life

The college organises a lot of activities and events including various sports competition, cultural activities. Various events are also organised on festivals. The main highlight is the college fest in which a lot of celebrities come to perform on stage and interact with the students. The staff and the teachers are also very supportive. The location of the college is an add on advantage! Its located in a safe, clean and friendly area with various malls, good transportation system and hospitals

Amazing, teaches us a lot inside as well outside the college. A really good learning experience. The campus has a lot of labs and is well equipped for all its students. there are placement cells and internship programmes for external knowledge. My college experience has been enjoyable because of the people I met, my seniors.

NIFT , as know by all is one of the most reputed design institute globally. Like most of the aspiring designers even i dreamt of being a part this institution and after one failed attempt i got through. Those fpur years of my college lofe has transformed me in aa lot of way not only i knw my skills n weaknesses well , the teaching methods and course has even led me to a better understanding of people inside and outside the glam world. Its a no nonsense ,thoroughly practical institute which doesn't jst force students for bookish knowledge , we hardly had any books to me memorized. The faculties are not just teachers, they are the true mentors ,although at times we think its too much pressure but once we are out of it we realise if it wasn't for the pressure the outcome wud have been not that great. The infrastructure is ever improving , everyday there's something new to be added. The whole experience of being a part of NIFT was one the most amazing chapter in my life . if i could redo a college i would do NIFT a thousand times.

Being a fashion design student itself sound good to me as well as to other people. So for thinking about one's career in fashion industry, NIFT would be a best option.Though we people get a lot of work, working whole day and night,itself give us a charm and interest in our work.So in my opinion one should look forward for this institute which gives best out of everything and help there students to gain knowledge about fashion industries.Life is very happening here,we enjoy,hangouts with friends, side by side gaining knowledge about our career. For me its very interesting sort of career option,there's a long way to go and one will learn a lot.
