NIFT Shillong B.Des Admission Process 2026

• Candidates have to appear for NIFT Entrance Exam for B.Des.

• The entrance exam has three stages -  Creative Ability Test (CAT), General Ability Test (GAT) and Situation Test (ST).

• Candidates clearing CAT and GAT will be eligible for the Situation test.

• Obtain a NIFT score that meets the NIFT Shillong cut-offs.

• Candidates who meet the cut-offs will have to register for NIFT counselling.

• Seats at NIFT Shillong will be allotted on the basis of the candidate’s performance in the exam and preference for the institute.

• Once the seats are allocated, pay the course fee and complete the admission formalities.

• The entrance exam consists of General Ability Test (GAT) only.
