NIFT Chennai Admission 2025: Dates, Application Form, Courses, Fees & Eligibility

National Institute of Fashion Technology Chennai admissions are offered to 8 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in the branches of Fashion Technology and Fashion Management. NIFT Chennai admissions offer BDes and BFTech and MFM programmes with various specialisations. National Institute of Fashion Technology Chennai admissions are merit-based. 

NIFT Chennai admission to BDes programmes is based on the NIFT Entrance Exam. After qualifying, the examination candidates have to go through a personal interview round organised by the National Institute of Fashion Technology. The requisite fee has to be paid online once an offer of allotment is made during the seat allocation process through a payment gateway.

• Candidates can apply for NIFT Chennai admissions through online mode.

• Candidates have to apply online at www.nift.ac.in. 

• Complete the online registrations and fill in the required details in the application form.

• Pay the online registration fee of Rs 3,000 (Rs 1,500 for the reserved category).

• Course specialisation is given according to the score of the NIFT entrance examination.

At undergraduate level NIFT Chennai admissions are offered to 4-year B.Des and BF.Tech programmes. BDes at NIFT Chennai offers specialisations in Leather Design, Fashion Communication, Textile Design, Accessory Design, Fashion Design, Knitwear Design and Apparel Production.

NIFT Chennai BDes Course Seat Intake and Eligibility Criteria

• Students must appear for the NIFT Entrance Exam.

• Qualifying candidates will be called for a personal interview round.

• National Institute of Fashion Technology Chennai Merit list will be created on the basis of scores obtained in the NIFT Entrance Exam and performance in the personal interview.

• Selected candidates have to pay the NIFT Chennai admission fees.

• Final seat allocation and NIFT Chennai admissions are confirmed only after the document verification.

NIFT Chennai admissions at the postgraduate level are offered to MFM of 2-year duration and offers specialisation in Fashion Design, Product design, Textile design and Apparel design.

NIFT Chennai MFM Course Seat Intake and Eligibility Criteria

• Candidates must be eligible for NIFT Chennai admission.

• Selected students will be called for a Written Test and a Personal Interview.

• Merit list will be formed on the basis of performance in the written test (GAT) and personal interview.

• Selected candidates have to pay the NIFT Chennai admission fees.

• Final seat allocation will be done after the document verification.
