Agricultural Engineering and Technology and Research Institute is popularly known as Swami Vivekanand College. This is a renowned constituent college for specialization in agricultural engineering and related courses. The college provides an extensive range of programs ranging from undergraduate to postgraduate and doctoral degrees focusing on aspiring agricultural engineers and scientists in the country. It has a well-designed admission process to select only the best candidates among the many who apply for its different programs. There are seven full-time courses in the institution that includes two undergraduate programs, two postgraduate programs, and three doctoral programs. This kind of diversity creates opportunities for the students to pursue their interests in specific areas in the broader field agricultural sciences and engineering.
Undergraduate programs are typically assessed by national-level tests such as JEE Main, or they can utilize state-level engineering admission tests. For postgraduate admissions, admissions for M.Tech could probably depend on GATE scores, while CAT scores could be used for MBA admissions, and in PhD, usually a combination of both the entrance test by the college and interview. The college has a student base of 17 efficient staff members. It offers an exceptional platform for real learning and research through its highly developed working facilities, including those laboratories most dedicated to practical learning research at the level of Geo-Informatics and Soils and Water Engineering Lab.

Admission Process Degree-wise
B.Tech Programs: The two B.Tech courses under private university BA are Agricultural Engineering and Food Technology. Admission into these programs is most likely based on performance in the relevant entrance examination(s) and also on performance at exams held at 10+2 level in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics. Exact eligibility criteria and selection processes should be checked with the college for this program.
M.Tech Program: M.Tech in Agricultural Engineering is being offered for post-graduates. Admission may be through GATE scores followed by a possible interview round. Generally, candidates with a B.Tech or equivalent degree in the relevant fields are eligible to apply.
MBA Program: The college has an MBA program and is also likely to take in students based on their CAT scores. There may also be a written test and personal interview as part of the selection process, but check for details from the institution.
Ph.D. Programs: The university has three doctoral programs: Ph.D. Agricultural Engineering; Ph.D. Agriculture; Ph.D. Horticulture. Admission usually consists of an entrance test and, in some cases, interview. Most candidates for this program are Master's degree holders in the relevant field.
We studied the course about Agricultural Engineering. We have three departments :- 1. Farm Machinery and Power Engineering 2. Soil and Water Engineering 3. Agricultural Processing and Food Engineering Professors are well knowledgeable from all departments. Our curriculum is updated and all departments are conducted many workshop to help farmers to reach their goals as we studied about the technical terms for agriculture like food processing, farm equipment and about soil and irrigation system. Job opportunities !! not sure about it. There are some opportunities for line of professor, technical assistant etc.
While my B.Tech in agricultural engineering broadened by knowledge base, I look forward to a more well-framed curriculum. The professors are supportive. I don't think it makes us job ready that is why it is hard to get job just after doing UG.
I was studying B.tech Agriculture because I wanted to widen my knowledge and skill sets. The quality of teaching is normal the teachers are supportive of the students who are sincere and want to learn. Our college follows the curriculum that every other agriculture college follows. I am not sure whether it includes all the recent developments in the field or not. It does make us job ready but it is difficult to find one.
