Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg (BIT Durg), a private institute, was established in 1986 and approved by All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). A Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) was signed by Bhilai Institute of Technology (BIT), Durg and National Chin-Yi University of Technology (NCUT) Taiwan for the mutual exchange of students and faculty for academic activities.

BIT Durg Facilities and Infrastructure

On the campus of Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg, students and faculty have access to a variety of facilities. Boys and girls have separate hostels at the college. It has a library on campus that houses books, periodicals, online periodicals, databases, back volumes, CDs/DVDs, project reports, audio/video cassettes, and a question bank. All of the blocks are linked by a highly secure network that connects over 1,000 PCs to the internet via broadband connections. The institute has a bank and an ATM, which allows for transactions. A stationary shop is also available at BIT Durg. Aside from stationery, the store also sells snacks, biscuits, and other foods. BIT Durg Admissions

The institute offers admissions to UG, PG and Ph.D programmes. Candidates seeking admission to BIT Durg's B.E/B.Tech programmes should take the CG PET/JEE Main. Shortlisted candidates have to take part in the counselling process. The All India Management Association (AIMA) conducts the MAT entrance exam, which is used to determine admission to the M.B.A. Candidates must then complete a Writing Ability Test (WAT), a group discussion, and a personal interview as part of the MAT selection process. The CMAT/MAT/CAT/ATMA scores are also accepted for BIT Durg M.B.A admission. Interested candidates for M.B.A Part-Time admission must fill out an application form found on the institute's website, after which a personal interview-cum-interview will be conducted to shortlist candidates. Admission to the M.C.A programme at BIT Durg is based on candidates score in NIMCET/ CG Pre MCA entrance exam. Following that, candidates must attend a counselling session. Candidates are admitted to M.Tech programmes based on their GATE exam scores. The Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Chhattisgarh, will then conduct Central Online Counseling for candidates. Admissions to BIT Durg's Ph.D programmes are based on a candidate's performance in the entrance test conducted by Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai. Shortlisted candidates must then attend a personal interview. Bhilai Institute of Technology Durg Admission Process- B.E/B.Tech (CG PET)

• Candidates have to meet the required eligibility criteria for B.E/B.Tech admissions.

• Register and appear for the entrance exam- Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test (CG PET).

• BIT Durg cutoff is released.

• Apply online at the official website of the DTE, CG, Raipur for participating in the Chhattisgarh PET Counselling process. 

• Seats will be allotted to the students in the Chhattisgarh PET Counselling process based on the choice of college and branch.

• Report to the institute and get all documents verified and pay the admission fee.

BIT Durg Admission Process- B.E/B.Tech (JEE Main)

• Releases the cutoff after the declaration of the result.

• Appear for a Writing Ability Test (WAT), group discussion and a personal interview which is a part of the MAT selection process. 

• Not all MAT participating institutes hold all three rounds of selection.

• Final admission is determined by a candidate's performance in all rounds of the MAT selection process.

BIT Durg Admission Process- M.B.A Part-Time

• Fulfill the required eligibility criteria for BIT Durg M.B.A Part-Time admission.

• Candidates must have obtained an aggregate of 50% marks in graduation and have two years of work experience.

• Apply for admission through a form available on the institute's website, after which a personal interview-cum-interview will be conducted for the purpose of shortlisting candidates.

• Appear for the entrance exam- GATE. 

• BIT Durg M.Tech admissions are conducted based on a CAP of the DTE for GATE-qualified candidates. 

• Register online through the Directorate of Technical Education, Chhattisgarh website to become eligible for CAP.

• The M.Tech admissions are offered on the basis of the GATE score.
