Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg has a training and placement cell which offers placements to students in various companies. For BIT Durg placements, the placement cell conducts placements and internship drives at their campus. According to the official website, a total of 502 students got placed in the ongoing placements of 2025. During BIT Durg placements 2023, the total number of students placed in B.Tech was 137 and 27 for M.Tech.

As per officials, till April 19, 2025, 44 students received packages of Rs 10 lakhs; 35 students received packages of Rs 9 lakhs; and 110 students received packages of Rs 6 lakhs.
BIT Durg B.Tech Placement Report, the median package offered was Rs 4 lakhs and 137 students got placed in 2024 as per NIRF 2025.
BIT Durg median package for Postgraduate courses was Rs 4.50 lakhs and 27 students got placed in year 2024.

There is high possibilities of getting into AI or data science courses in the second round of counselling if you didn't get a i and data science courses you can still have your IT course in Durg if you need another update you need to look at there website

For B.Tech in Computer Science & Engineering (CSE) at BIT Durg , the Round 1 cutoff was Rank 26, and in Round 2, the closing rank was between 50 and 200.
In Round 1, the closing percentile was approximately. 91, and in Round 2 closing percentile was 81.

Log in to the counselling portal, update your priority list by placing AI or Data Science above IT—think of IT as a fallback option. The system will try to upgrade your seat if seats are available in those preferred branches when allotment occurs. If AI or Data Science seats are already full, you will retain your current IT seat in BIT Durg.
