Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg offers Doctoral Programmes (Ph.D), Management Programme (MBA) in the Full Time as well as Part-Time mode, Computer Applications (MCA), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech) courses in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Telecommunication Engineering, Computer Science & Engineering, and Information Technology and Master of Technology to the students. Admission to B.Tech and M.Tech is offered on the basis of Chhattisgarh Pre Engineering Test conducted by Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB) under the aegis of Chhattisgarh Professional Examination Board (CPEB). Further, they have to participate in the counselling process. MCA admission of BIT Durg is based on Pre-MCA Test, conducted by Chattisgarh Vyavasaik Pashikshan Mandal (CGVYPAM). Aspiring candidates have to participate in the counselling session conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Chhattisgarh. BIT Durg offers MBA on the basis of MAT conducted by AIMA, New Delhi. Admission to doctoral programmes is based on the Entrance Test conducted by Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg. Admission is confirmed in Bhilai Institute of Technology, Durg only after the document are verified by the institute and the requisite fee is paid and hence this is the full and final stage of admission. Admission Process for B.Tech:
Candidates have to register and appear in CG-PET.
Further, based on the performance in CG PET, candidates have to apply online at the official website of the DTE, CG, Raipur for participating in the counselling process.
JEE Main qualified candidates can also participate in the counselling process based on their JEE Main ranks. Such candidates also need to register at the official site the DTE, CG.
The seats will be allotted to the students in the counselling process based on the choice of college and branch.
Students have to report the college and complete the admission procedure.
Admission process for M.Tech:
The candidates need to appear for GATE.
Further, they need to apply online at the official website of the DTE, CG, Raipur for participating in the admission process.

Admission Process for MCA:
MCA aspirants are required to appear at the Pre-MCA Test, conducted by Chattisgarh Vyavasaik Pashikshan Mandal (CGVYPAM).
After clearing the Pre-MCA test candidate have to participate in the counselling session conducted by Directorate of Technical Education, Chhattisgarh.
The seats will be allotted to the students in the counselling process.

75% of the seats are reserved for candidates with CG domicile and 10% Other State Quota, whereas the rest 15% is reserved for Management quota.
Admission Process for MBA:
MBA aspirants are required to appear for the MAT conducted by AIMA, New Delhi.
The candidates will be shortlisted based on the merit list and options put during MAT.
The admission will be as per the Ordinance of Chhattisgarh Swami Vivekanand Technical University, Bhilai.
75% seats are reserved for candidates having domicile of Chhattisgarh, 10% of the seats will be filled up on Other State Quota 15% is reserved as management quota.
Admission process for the Ph.D Programme:
To get admission to PhD programmes candidates need to appear for an Entrance Test conducted by the BIT.
Candidates who have cleared the UGC-NET (Including JRF)/UGC-CSIR NET (Including JRF)/SLET/GATE (valid score) or teacher fellowship holders are exempted from the Entrance Test for M.Phil./Ph.D. programmes.
Shortlisted candidates have to appear for an interview at research centres of BIT.

Qualifying examination for Admission - PET & JEE (Mains)
Admission to all the courses is conducted through Central Online Counseling administered by Directorate of Technical Education, Government of Chhattisgarh. The dates and other details of such counselling are displayed through advertisement in local newspapers as well as their official website (www.cgdteraipur.ac.in). However, admission under Sponsored Category, Part Time courses and management Quota seats are administered at the Institute level.
