NPTEL Exam Dates 2025 (July - December Semester Exam)

NPTEL Admit Card for July 2025 Exam

NPTEL released the NPTEL admit card for the July semester exam in online mode on the official website for the exams scheduled to be conducted on November 1 and 2, 2025. Enrolled candidates who registered for the NPTEL exam can download the admit card for the NPTEL exam by submitting their registration number and password as login credentials. It is mandatory to carry an NPTEL hall ticket to the exam hall along with a valid photo ID proof.

NPTEL Exam Result for July 2025

The NPTEL Certification exam result for July 2025 is available on the official website of NPTEL (nptel.ac.in) for the exam conducted in September. For the NPTEL exam conducted in October 2025, result will be available soon. Candidates who appeared in the NPTEL exam can follow the steps to check the exam result given below-

NPTEL Exam Syllabus

The NPTEL exam syllabus depends on the specific course chosen. NPTEL offers a wide range of online courses, and each course has its syllabus outlining the topics covered in the course and the NPTEL exam. Students can find the syllabus for a particular course by visiting the NPTEL website or the Swayam portal.

NPTEL Certification Exam Pattern

The NPTEL certification exams are online, computer-based exams consisting of multiple-choice questions. The exam also includes fill-in-the-blank and short-answer questions. The specific exam pattern also includes the number and type of questions that can vary depending on the certification course. According to the NPTEL certification exam pattern, the passing score for an appearing student is an overall 40% score, requiring a 25% score from assignments and a 75% score from the exam.

Proof of Identity for Appearing in the NPTEL Exam

To appear for the NPTEL exam, students need to bring the following things:-

• A printed copy of the hall ticket
• A valid government-issued photo identification card (driving license, passport, PAN card, voter ID, or Aadhaar-ID)

Note: ID of the applicants must include their name, date of birth, photograph and signature.

What is the eligibility for the NPTEL exam?

NPTEL releases the eligibility criteria for the NPTEL exam for July 2025 in online mode. All interested candidates are required to check the official website of NPTEL for the eligibility criteria before applying for the exam. Check the criteria for the NPTEL exam below.

• Candidates must have enrolled in one of the NPTEL course
• Assignments should be completed and submitted on time with the minimum marks of 10 out of 25
• Anyone can enroll regardless of their age or background.

How To Apply for NPTEL July Semester Exam?

Candidates who are already enrolled for the NPTEL courses, only then can register for the NPTEL certification exam, which is an optional yet mandatory requirement to get the NPTEL certificate. Enrolled candidates need to move to the ‘My Courses’ section on their dashboard. Click on the NPTEL exam registration link available. However, candidates are also advised to check their registered email ID for the exam registration link.

After clicking on the NPTEL exam registration link, fill in all the required details, upload a photograph, a signature, and valid documents such as a photo ID proof, a reserve category proof (if any), and others. Choose the examination-related details such as choice of exam centre and date, and submit all the details.

Complete the NPTEL exam registration by paying the exam fees of Rs. 1,000 (50% waiver for reserved category candidates) in online mode only.
