About CUCET 2020
Central Universities Common Entrance Test (CUCET) is conducted for admission to various Integrated/Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Research Programmes offered by Central Universities of Haryana, Jharkhand, Jammu, Karnataka, Kashmir, Kerala, Punjab, Rajasthan, South Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Gujarat, Tamil Nadu and Odisha along with 4 state universities, 1 NIT, Assam University, Silchar and Mahatma Gandhi Central University, Bihar. The consortium of 10 Central Universities was established by the Act of Parliament and Dr B.R. Ambedkar School of Economics registered under the Karnataka Societies Registration Act of 1960. Aspirants for CUCET 2020 must refer and meet the eligibility criteria of each participating University for the programme they are applying for.

For CUCET 2020 eligibility criteria, candidates need to refer to the participating university for which they are applying for. This is because the eligibility criteria of a course may be different for the different participating universities. Therefore, candidates are advised to refer and check the eligibility criteria of the course they are applying for from each participating university before filling the application form.

The application form of CUCET 2020 was available from March 16, 2020 in online mode. Along with filling the form, candidates need to deposit requisite application fee either in online or offline mode. Candidates who were willing to apply for CUCET 2020 can refer and check the steps to be followed while filling the application form.
How to Fill CUCET 2020 Application Form
Visit the official website and click on the ‘Apply Online’ tab to register for the programme. After clicking, candidates will be able to see three programmes options- UG, PG, and RP. Click on the link you wish to apply for. Once done, the following steps need to be followed:
Step-1 Get registered and log: To register candidates need to enter details like program applied for, name, valid e-mail-id, mobile number, date of birth, and verification code displayed on the screen. Once all details are submitted, the application number and password are generated and are sent at the registered email address and mobile number. Use the application number and password to log-in.
Step- 2 Fill the application form: After log-in, enter details like personal, academic qualification, communication address, etc and submit it.
Step- 3 Upload scanned images: Upload the scanned images of photograph and signature in prescribed format and dimensions.
Step- 4 Enter examination centers- In order of the preference, select and enter the exam centres.
Step-5 Enter the university and programme details.
Step-6 Preview and edit the application form.
Step-7 Fee payment and final submission of application form: Candidates have to pay the application fee either in online or offline mode. On successful online application submission with payment of fees through an automated e-mail and SMS is sent to the registered e-mail ID and mobile number. In case of fee payment done in offline mode, candidates receive the confirmation with 3-4 working days.

Exam mode: Offline (Pen and Paper-based test)
Duration of exam: 2 hours
Type of questions: Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs)
Number of sections in question paper: The question paper of CUCET 2020 carries 2 sections. Part A carry questions from English Language, General Awareness, Mathematical Aptitude and Analytical Skills. While part B consist of domain knowledge. However, candidates are allowed to choose between PCB and PCM related questions while attempting the examination.
Total number of questions: 100 (Part A-25 and Part B-75)
Marking scheme: For every correct answer, one mark will be awarded. While in case of wrong answers, 0.25 mark will be deducted for each incorrect response. Questions not attempted will not be assessed. Apart from this, if a candidate marks multiple entries for a question, it will be treated as the wrong answer.
In case of a candidate who is seeking admission to integrated programmes or any other general programme, he/she will have to attend only one paper comprising 100 MCQs. The question paper includes English language, reasoning, data interpretations/ numerical ability, general awareness and analytical skills related questions.
CUCET 2020 admit card has been released in online mode. The admit card of CUCET 2020 includes details like candidate’s name, application number, exam centre address, course applied, etc. To download the admit card candidates need to log-in to their account. However, before downloading the admit card, candidates need to ensure that all the details furnished on it are correct. In case of any discrepancy, contact the exam conducting authorities immediately and rectify the error. Candidates need to know that CUCET admit card 2020 is an important document. Without admit card candidates were not be allowed to appear for CUCET 2020 or for counselling process. Therefore, its advisable to the candidates to keep the CUCET 2020 admit card safely till the admission process gets over.

The authorities has released the CUCET answer key 2020 in online mode on September 21. The answer key carries correct responses to the questions asked in CUCET 2020. With the help of answer key of CUCET 2020, candidates can match their responses with the one given in it and calculate their expected score. In case of discrepancy in the answer key, candidates could raise the objection along with the documented proof by September 24.
CUCET 2020 result will be announced in online mode. Candidates can download their result by log-in to their account using their credentials. The result of CUCET 2020 carries the candidate’s score obtained in the entrance exam and its qualifying status. Based on the result, each University will prepare its own merit list. Candidates will be allotted seats in the participating universities based on the rank obtained in the entrance exam.
The cutoff of CUCET 2020 contain the minimum marks required by candidates to appear for the offline/online counselling. The CUCET cutoff 2020 is based on few factors which have been mentioned here. The admissions for the different programmes will be conducted based on the CUCET 2020 cutoff determined for each of the courses. The cutoff of CUCET 2020 is different for the same course based on the university which offers the programme.

There is no centralized counselling for CUCET 2020. Each participating University conducts its own counselling based on the rank/merit list prepared by them. Candidates have to check the notification for counselling separately for each participating university. Also, there are separate fees for counselling which candidates need to check separately for each participating institutes. While participating in the counselling, candidates have to carry the following documents along with them for verification.
