Eligibility Criteria (UG & PG) of History
Every student wishes for the opportunity to get admission in their dream college and for that they have to meet some eligibility criteria. If they fail to do so, their admission in History can get cancelled, so they should pay close attention to these criteria. The eligibility criteria are given below –
- Students should have passed 10+2 from the recognized Board and any stream.
- They should secure 50% or more aggregate marks at the qualifying level.
- Some universities may also demand that the candidates have studied History at their 10+2 level.
History Entrance Exam
Most of the colleges give admission in History to the entrance exam to their students. Students can pursue History in the form of various degrees and courses like- BA History, BA History (Hons), MA History, B.Ed History, M.Phil History, PhD History and many others. Some colleges may even conduct personal interview rounds before the final admission to the students.
Some of the entrance exams are –
1) IPU CET –
IPU CET – Indraprastha University Common Entrance Test
It is an online national level exam conducted to grant admission into the Undergraduate as well as postgraduate courses. The student appearing for this exam should have passed their 10+2 examination. After the results are declared, counselling sessions would be organized for the students.
2) JNUEE –
JUNEE – Jawaharlal Nehru University Entrance Examination.
The students are granted admission into Undergraduate, Postgraduate and Doctoral courses. The exam is for 70 marks and consists of multiple-choice questions which is followed by viva, which is worth 30 marks. It is conducted online for 3 hours. It is a university-level exam.
3) DSAT –
DSAT – Dayanand Sagar Admission Test
This exam grants admission into Undergraduate and Postgraduate courses. The students should have passed their 10+2 or equivalent exam. The paper would contain multiple-choice questions. The exam is conducted both online and offline. It is a national level exam.
