2 gram of ferrous sulphate crystals are heated in a drying boiling tube name the type of chemical reaction taking place
Answer (1)
Hi,
When crystals of ferrous sulphate are heated -
Observations
1. Change in state and colour take place.
2. A gas is evolved during the process .
Since the compound ( ferrous sulphate ) decomposes into two or more substances therefore it is a decompostion reaction.
2FeSO4(s) +HeatFe2O3(s) + SO2(g) + SO3(g)
Hope it helps...
