Hi aspirant,
Yes, BiPC (Biology, Physics, Chemistry)
students are eligible for some exams and roles conducted by the Ministry of Environment, Forest, and Climate Change.
However, this again varies from post to post, and the eligibility criteria are specific to that post. Most MoEFCC roles require qualifications related to environmental science, biology, forestry, or related fields.
General Eligibility for MoEF Exams:
Educational Qualification:
For entry-level positions, such as a forest guard or forester,
10+2 qualification, with Biology as one of the subjects,
will suffice. A bachelor's degree in Botany, Zoology, Environmental Science, or Forestry is often needed for positions like Forest Range Officers or Scientists.
Bachelor's Degree Requirement:
BiPC students may be eligible to enter MoEF as graduates in these degrees:
-
BSc in Environmental Science
-
BSc in Forestry
-
BSc in Botany/Zoology/Wildlife Science
-
Bachelor's in Agriculture or Horticulture
Competitive Exams:
Indian Forest Service (IFS):
A bachelor's degree in science or engineering
is required. BiPC students can qualify if they pursue a related degree.
State-Level Forest Department Exams:
Mostly provide scopes for candidates with qualification of class 12th (BiPC) only to be eligible for some posts.
If you are a
BiPC studen
t
currently, you may need to take an undergraduate degree in that specific area to be eligible for higher level positions in
MoEF.
