Hello,
Here is the steps:-
- turn dial to the continuity mode and check dial function which will be with one or more functions. It will be with resistance for most of the time.
- when the test probes are separated, multimeter display will show Ol or resistance symbol ohm character
- if you want , you can follow some steps to preserve the battery life of the equipment
- insert black test lead into COM jack and then red one into Vohm jack when finished remove it in reverse order.
- in de-energized circuit, connect leads accross the component being tested. Position of the leads are arbitrary.
- Multimeter will beep if the complete path is covered and a close circuit is created. If the circuit is open then it won't beep.
- After completion, turn the equipment off to save battery life.
