As of the 2025-26 academic year, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) is set to introduce new competency-based textbooks for Classes 7, aligning with the National Curriculum Framework for School Education (NCF-SE), 2023.

English: The curriculum includes chapters such as "The Tiny Teacher," "Bringing Up Kari," "Golu Grows a Nose," "Chandni," "The Bear Story," "A Tiger in the House," and "An Alien Hand."
Social Science: This encompasses History chapters like "Tracing Changes Through a Thousand Years," "New Kings and Kingdoms," "The Delhi Sultans," "The Mughal Empire," "Rulers and Buildings," "Towns, Traders and Craftsperson," "Tribes, Nomads, and Settled Communities," "Devotional Paths to the Divine," "The Making of Regional Cultures," and "Eighteenth-Century Political Formations." Geography topics include "Environment" and "Inside Our Earth."
