corrosion is not an example of chemical weathering.
water causes bith chemical weatheing adn mechanical weathering. mechanical weathering cause when water drips or flow over rock for prolonged periods. and chemical weathering causes when water disolves mineral in rock when water disolves in mineral in a rockproducing new compounds. this reaction is called hydrosis.
