Commission was appointed by the govt of India in term of their Resolution to bring changes within the
present education system and make it better for the state . Dr. A. Lakshmanswami Mudaliar was the
Vice-Chancellor of Madras University.

the varied parts of India and purchased first-hand knowledge of the varied educational problems and
presented its report running on August 29, 1953.

- In 1952, Dr. A Laxman Swami Mudaliar was appointed as a chairman of secondary education commission by Union Government of India.
