Hi,
A D.Ed course is a 2-year diploma for students who want to become teachers in primary schools . The course is approved by NCTE and is conducted by state boards across India.
- In 1st year of this course, you learn about the foundations of Education, child Psychology, Educational Technology and Teaching Methods (EVS, Maths, Languages.
- And in the 2nd year curriculum Development, classroom Management, inclusive Education, pedagogy of English/Hindi/Maths/EVS.
During both years, you’ll do theory + practical sessions. Internships are compulsory in nearby schools. The focus is on child development, lesson planning, communication, and teaching skills. After D.Ed, you can apply for government teacher jobs through TET or go for B.Ed if you want to teach higher classes. It’s a strong course for a long-term teaching career.

Diploma in education (D.Ed) is a two years diploma program to train individuals to teach elementary and primary classes. The curriculum of which inculdes both theoretical training and practical training such as internships and micro teaching.
