I would suggest you to prefer NCERT books as it will help you to clear your basic concepts, if you are clear with that, You can easily cover whole the syllabus. Here are some preparation tips you can follow.
Make a plan to manage Time Well - Make a time table and devide your time in two parts first your study plan & secondly your daily routine works. Within stipulated time you should finish the syllabus. You must draw certain goals. Depending on the difficulty level of the chapter or the topic, You must decide for yourself in how many days you will be able to finish it. Before proceeding towards the new topic, you must ensure that you finish the previous one and Revise thoroughly.
Improve your Weak Points : Give more time and focus on weak topics to improve it. Keep small notes and constantly revise those concepts which has been hard to understand. By constantly studying the topics you find difficult.
Attempt Mock Test and Solve Sample Papers : Mock tests will give you an almost real experience of how the examination will be. By solving mock tests, you will be able to work on time management while at the same time understanding the question paper pattern.
Revision: While studying it is important to revise those topics which has already been studied. It is advised that each day, a certain amount of time should be divided for revision purposes.
