The jee main exam is Computer Based Test (CBT) in other words online exam The test is conducted over the internet. JEE Main examination is held in online mode.
The application filling date should be announce soon. JEE Main 2021 will be conducted in two sessions- January and April. The NTA have not released the JEE Main exam date 2021 yet, so you can check the tentative exam dates and schedule from given link below https://engineering.careers360.com/articles/jee-main-exam-dates
