hi my kid is doing 12th grade. A level. He plans to appear in JEE 2021. His A level subjects: Physics, Chemistry, Maths & Computer science But he will be doing As level english language. Question is: Is As level english Okay for 12th to appear for JEE?

Hello.
The basic eligibility criteria for JEE Mains examination want a person should have at least 75% (general category) in his/her class 12th with physics, chemistry and mathematics as a compulsory subject if you don't have then still a person can appear for JEE Mains but the above eligibility criteria is compulsory in order to take admission in NIT/IIIT/IIT (after JEE advanced)
Appearing for AS level English language in 12th will not affect JEE mains eligibility.
But candidate need to have basic understanding for questions written in English.

Thanks Sudhansu. Just wanted to be sure here. He didn’t take English language in 11th grade (therefore he had only four subjects: Physics, Maths, Chem & Computer science).
In 12th grade, his subjects are: 4 A level subjects and 1 As level (English). Trust this is okay?

Actually it doesn't matter, but for that basic need is 12th passed or appearing in science stream if it is for JEE mains but when one clear JEE mains then in order to get admission in NIT/IIIT there should be 75% in 12th science (as eligibility only) rest things will not be calculated in 12th or 11th etc. And if it is for JEE advanced then again at the time of admission same thing will be considered.
