In Indian Educational system. you'll find four types of universities across india. Following are the types of universities:
- central universities: set up by an act of Parliament
- state universities : set up or recognised by an act of the state legislature
- deemed universities
- private universities: institution of higher learning established through a state or central act by a sponsoring body
