Hi Makesh,
The question's meaning is how many times you have to multiply 8 so that you will get a greatest four digit perfect square. That is 8*8*8*8 that is 8 raised to the power 4 where 8 is the base and 4is the index which answers to 4096 which is perfect square of 64. Hope you get it.
