Hello Kusumitha,
Follow the following simple steps to start your preparation -
Step 1 - Cover the complete syllabus -
It all begins here, a proper understanding of the syllabus, reading, taking notes, memorizing the important formulas and ability to link one chapter to another so as to form a mental map of the whole syllabus.
Step 2 - Make Schedule -
Make a schedule for your study as a scheduled study is always better than the last minute study. You get more time to understand the fundamentals and also can study without any pressure. A scheduled study gives higher output.
Step 3 - Clear basic concepts - First finish your NCERT books as these books will create your base and will help you learn the basics. Try to finish entire 11th + 12th NCERT. Many questions come in JEE from the NCERT book.
Take proper guidance from any generous teacher. A great teacher is a must to clear your concepts and don't keep doubts pending. Get them solved immediately.
Step 4 - Take Sufficient Notes - Take notes of the tips while preparing for JEE exam. It helps a lot in last minute revision. Notes are your best friend during such exams. They are handy and can be customized as per your needs. Books have tons of information which you may not need before exams. Always prepare good notes in your own language.
Step 5 -Practice -
We all know "Practice makes a man perfect." The more you practice, the better you get with concepts and time management. With more and more practice, you will eventually get comfortable with the questions and approach of how to solve would get clearer.
Step 6 - Revise regularly -
There is no point of studying if you don’t remember it. Our memory fades away gradually. Without proper revision, we will not be able to retain things in our mind. Revision plays a cardinal role in getting good marks.
Step 7 - Stress Management - This is a must given the level of competition you have to face. Stay confident and calm. Do at least 15 minutes of yoga every day to increase your concentration power and decrease your stress levels.
Some tips are -
1. Read the NCERT line by line and do not leave out any question or examples.
2. Last year papers are a good way to know the pattern of questions. Also, many times questions are repeated from last year paper. Solve all the question of last year paper.
3. Procrastination is your biggest enemy right now. Beware of procrastination. Stay motivated, take sufficient breaks but do not waste your time unnecessarily.
4. Mornings are the best time to study as the surrounding is calm and mind is fresh in the morning.
5. Devote your time wisely to each and every subject and take help of at least one reference book.
Hope this helps.
Good luck!
