Iam a intermediate second year student studying MPC subjects, iam aiming for B. Arch in top colleges SP and IIT. What should be my approacha nd plan andcoaching sources
Hi Divya,
If you want to get into some of the top architecture schools such as IITs (JEE Advanced + AAT) or SPAs (JEE Main - Paper 2), you must have a targeted approach to prepare.
- IIT (B.Arch): You must qualify the JEE Advanced and then write the AAT (Architecture Aptitude Test). SPAs and NITs: Admissions for B.Arch is through JEE Main Paper
- You should prepare well for JEE Main/Advanced – should target coordinate geometry, calculus, 3D, and vectors as primary topics. Also, Aptitude & drawing should practice sketching, building awareness, Famous buildings, Architects, other architecture-related research, and 3D visualization.
- Remember to prioritize JEE Main (Math + Aptitude + Drawing). After you have qualified for JEE Advanced, you can target the AAT to prepare for 1-2 weeks (there is no negative marking).
Hello,
To pursue a B.Arch degree at top colleges like SP (School of Planning and Architecture, Delhi ) and IIT (Indian Institutes of Technology), you should focus on building a strong foundation in core subjects, develop visual skills, and consider coaching for the NATA and architecture-related entrance exams.
Thank you!!
