If you look at the eligibility criteria mentioned in https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/neet-pg-eligibility-criteria, your Provisional registration is good for appearing for NEET PG and also AIIMS PG if you check their criteria at: https://medicine.careers360.com/articles/aiims-pg-eligibility-criteria . So just to answer your question, your Provisional Registration is good.

But the 1yr validity of my temporary registration is over, do I have to get it extended in case I don't get the permanent registration done?
