The answer for it can be both No if you want to be a ranker or atleast you want to get admission into any prestigious college of engineering like nits or iiits but yes if you just want to crack jee for mame sake . Because no exam can be cracked by leaving half of its syllabus so stop thinking is this is important or not and start preparing for each and every topic in jee .
Hope it helps!!

Hi there
The various subjects and topics which can be asked in the examination will be mentioned in the JEE Main syllabus. Candidates will be able to check the syllabus to understand what has to be studied for the upcoming examination. Paper I will consist of 11th and 12th standard Physics, Chemistry and Mathematics syllabus while Paper II will consist of topics from Mathematics, General Aptitude and Drawing.
So, you can attempt maximum number of questions just by preparing from class 11th and 12th books.

Hope this helps. Good luck!

Eventually yes as well as no if you want to be a ranker or atleast a rank below 10000 then definitely no or else if you just want to pass the jer for name sake then yes . No exam can be cracked by screwing up of half of the syllabus 11th is completely half of the syllabus so never think to skip any part of the jee syllabus each and every portion is important in accordance to some respect .
Hope it helps!!
According to evaluation of previous year jee mains papers the weightage of topice from class 12 is almost around 45-55% which keep changing every year. So if you want to score around 150-180 marks in jee mains 12th course is enough. Be i won't recommend only studying 12th course as some questions are very high level and they are pretty tough so you can't get your desired marks only with 12th course.
