Is attending orientation programme in college is important or not?

You should go and attend the orientation program. Many colleges have it on both college level and department level. On college level, they will welcome all the students to their college and the principal will address you after that you will be served with snacks. Then you will go to your respective departments and you will be introduced to all the teachers of your course. They will tell you an intro about the course and the future prospects. They will interact with you and try to know about you. Followed by that, you will get the time-table for the session. Its a good way to know your teachers and new classmates. You can bond with them, as you will have to spend the rest of 3 years with them. Also, at my time, after the teachers went, the seniors went in and there was a healthy interactive season with them. You can ask away whatever you are having doubts about or can ask how the teachers are!

I would like to inform you that it is not at all compulsary to attend orientation programme in college. However if you want to know about your college in depth, what are the opportunities that might come accross your path during the course and some othe stuffs then you should consider attending it.
