Technology is changing everyday. Every year some new technology is coming in IT Industry. A few years ago there was no Data Science or IoT or Block Chain but now there is. So it is quite difficult to say which technology trend will be the next.
B.Tech CSE is best in terms of Placements as most of the companies now a days are looking for skilled person in programming and algorithms. If you are concerned about opportunities then after Computer Science and Engineering, Electronics and Engineering is the best option. After a few years of experience an ECE graduate can earn same as any CSE graduate. If you learn any programming language, Data Structures, Algorithm then its best as you can apply for any IT Companies.
Do some certification to stand out from the crowd. Get a certification in some emerging technology like Iot, Cyber Security, BlockChain etc. Maintain a good CGPA in your Engineering Degree. Rest all will be good.
