As NCERT books is the beginning ( or you can say base of the preparation).
But for the better understanding and to make your concepts strong and for the numerical you have to take help of other books also .
Because you will find new things and methods to solve a single questions with different methods and your thinking and knowledge will not be limited upto a certain level.
You can solve new question easily.
NCERT Book doesn't contain that much numericals ( particularly in physics and chemistry) which can built up your concepts.
So try to expand yourself .
You can take help of these books:
HC Verma
Dc Pandey
Arihant
Rd Sharma
A das Gupta
Previous year question Arihant
Op Tandon
Rc Mukherjee
And questions bank of any one good institute.
Good luck
Hello Student,
NCERT is the base of this exam. If your base is clear you can score a decent amount of marks. If you have really understood NCERT books completely line by line, gone through each and every word of it including the tables and reactions, all solved examples and all questions of the exercises then it will be sufficient to score around 200–240 depending on your accuracy.
There are in total 90 question. Each subject has 30 question in it.
In Chemistry almost half of the questions are of basic concept, some questions required a little attention but if you are clear with your basic you can easily do it. Only few questions comes out of NCERT syllabus which requires extra information.
In Physics and Maths some questions are from NCERT syllabus, some requires little attention (if you have practiced a lot you will be able to do it) and some requires extra information about the topic.
Hope it helped you
Thank you
