The center is the place where you will be going to write the examination. so, if that center is nearest to where you live it would be the best case scenario. Isn't it?
No one wants to reach late in the examination hall. The nearer, the better!
If you write the name of a place which is far away from your home, like some other city or state it would be very difficult to reach there on time and to make all the necessary arrangements plus it would only make you stress out more. So, it is better to write a center that is nearer your home.
