my percentile in paper 2 is 94.38 out of 112000 student. if i do not opt for april paper. & suppose in april no of student rise to 150000 then what will be my rank.
Hello,
It can't be said like that as it is not only the total number of students who appear. How they perform also matters. IF they perform well then your percentile will get decrease as everyone's percentile will get normalised later on. For students who has appeared both the session best score will be taken into consideration.
Your rank is unpredictable for now as april session is not conducted yet and that may change the whole chart which is present now.
Predicted Rank for January session will be :- (100-94.38)* 112679(total number of students appeared )/100 which will be around 6332.
if after april session it gets to 150k then your rank will be 8430.
Hope it helps!
Hello,
You can calculate your general rank using the below formula
100 - your total percentile score is the percentage of people ahead of you. 112679 are the number of candidates appeared for January exam.
So rank formula is (100 - your total score) X 112679 /100.
So if the number of students appeared in the april session is increased then
the rank formula will be (100-94.38) X 150000/100
Then your general will be around 8430. This is approximate rank
