Should i still choose my first preference the institute which is impossible to get according to my rank?? or should i choose the intitute which i think i will be allotted at my rank??
Hi Arin, hope you are doing well. Now with regards to your question I want to mention that it you don't have to bear extra money for keeping in choice the institutes in which you know you can't get admission based on your rank or scores. So you should always keep the best institutes in your first preference even if you know you can't get admission in there. This is only because of the fact that if you cut off the best institutes from your list then it might happen that this year the cutoffs came low and you could get a chance in your dream institute which you totally missed out as you didn't bothered to keep them in your list. You should always keep the best institutes in your choice list first even if you know you can't get in there followed by the institutes where you will get a seat. Also do appear in the special or mop up round as there you might land up in your dream institute. Hope this helps
Thanking you
Yours sincerely
