Solution : Let the unit digit of the number be $y$ and the ten digit be $x$ .
Number $= 10 x + y$
Product of digits $= x \times y = 12$ ---(i)
According to the question,
$10 x + y + 36 = 10 y + x$
$9 y - 9 x = 36$
$y - x = \frac{36}{9} = 4$ ---(ii)
Solving equations (i) and (ii),
$x = 2, y = 6$
∴ Number $=$ 26
Hence, the correct answer is 26.
