    There is no surname on my birth certificate while surname is available on all my other documents. Will this affect my councelling process?

    According to new provisions made by the government, your board certificate (usually class 10th or 12th) is used as a valid birth certificate. As long as all the information in your 12th or 10th certificate is correct, and matching with the rest of your documents, you need not worry.
