Medical electronics is a very rare and unique course taken up by the students. It is available in a few no.of colleges in India like MSRIT, Ambedkar Institute of Technology etc. You can also tell that Biomedical Engineering has a similar curriculum with that of medical electronics.
Medical electronics will have the curriculum m related to instrumentation and applications of electronics in medical domain like MRI machine, X-Ray machine, ECG, EEG, prosthetics and orthotics(artificial limb manufacturing), Designing ECG preprocessor ,bio-chips ,sensors, etc., etc. You would have subjects like Medical imaging, Biomedical Prosthetics and Orthotics, Biomedical Instrumentation,etc.
The Health Care industry has been growing at an abrupt tempo in the past few years with an annual growth rate of 30%. So, though the scope of this field is not great now, it will be enormous in the coming years. So, if you choose this job now, you may land in a high paying job later.
