KMMC or KM Music Conservatory is an institution of its kind. It is situated in the heart of Chennai's film and music industry which offers part-time and full-time courses in both Hindustani Classical and Western Music. A. R. The university combine both the Hindustani and Western music music traditions while training you in ensemble and solo performances both.
Here are some courses and their eligibility criteria-
1. Musical Theatre
It is a one-year programme training you in singing, acting, movement and dancing making a part-time multidisciplinary programme. You need to be above the age of 18 for this and should have a prior experience in all the three, i.e., Music, Dance and Theatre. Also, there will be an audition for which you need to know
a. A musical theatre song
b. An English Monologue
After that, there will be a workshop from which you will be selected based on your caliber.

2. Diploma of Higher Education in Music
This is a full-time two years course which follows a strict curriculum and after your two years at KMMC, you will be sent to Middlesex University, London to study for your 3rd year B.A. (Hons.). For this, you need to be above 18 and should have filled the application and paid the fees of Rs. 7,00,000 (which is subject to change at the time of application for the year 2020). The candidates are expected to have done the foundation certificate course of KMMC or an equivalent course. The candidates should also have standard English in 12th with at least 55% or IELTS with a score of 6.0. Enquiries are also welcome at the institution from applicants with equivalent musical experience or qualifications, in which case an interview and audition will be required.

3. Foundation Certificate in Music
This is a one-year certificate programme known to build the skill, knowledge and competency for undergraduate level in Piano, Guitar, Percussion, Flute, Violin and Western and Hindustani classical music. For this the age should be 16+ along with completed application and fee. English Proficiency will be taken into consideration based on the 10th Board marks which should be 55% or score in English form a recognised International Board. Interview and Audition will be conducted.

4. Preparatory
This course is for those who want to pursue music in the future as a career or a hobby. This is a one-year curriculum in various music-related subjects which is open for any person over 5 years of age. People doing this can continue with Introductory course later or continue music as their hobby or passion alone. Only a completion of Application and payment of fees is required. There is no audition for this.
