Hi Dear, jee-mains rank is mainly important to get good NITs/IIITs/GFTIs seats.in the time of counseling jee-main ranks play role in that.

JEE Mains is just like a qualifying round. JEE Advance marks/rank is independant of boards percentage as well as JEE Mains marks. And with the same rank you will get a seat in an NIT.
