Bioinformatics has a key role to play in pharmaceutical and biotechnology sectors, it is used in reducing the time and cost involved in drug discovery process. Bioinformatics is a subset of the larger field of computational biology, the application of quantitative analytical techniques in modelling biological systems. Their work involves making new computer algorithms, databases and bioinformatics visualisation tools.

Biotechnology is one of the emerging career fields in India. Food Technology, Nutrition, Medicines, Healthcare, Forensic Sciences are some ofthefields of Biotechnology.The scope of Biotechnology is wide and offers opportunities in the field of both research and engineering and you want to get into teaching line then you should go for MTech as it is a very respectfully job. On other hand geting job after BTech in a good MNC is also good option. ... But there is a chance that if you are in a good college in M.Tech then you can have good companies during your placement.
