What salary will be offer at the time of placements in CLAT ?

Hi harshvardhan, after clearing clat exam you need to study and complete the course at National Law University, whose entrance exam is CLAT. After the course of 5 years you would have a ide range of career options like law firms or litigation or civil service or judiciary. For law firms the average package would be around 12-16 LPA if tou graduate from top 5 NLUs . It is very low near 2-4 Lpa when it comes to field of litigation, where it is initially low and becomes high accordingly in the forthcoming years. Next civil services are paid accordingly to the pay band presently. And the last path, judiciary offers a pay band of about 8-10 lpa.

Lot of criteria is to be taken into account to know the package you might get:

1) Rank in which your law college is one of the most imporatnt factor that determines you avaerage package. So if you are preparing for CLAT then prepare it well to get top NLU's

2) The sector you chose plays an important role:

- Corporate: avaerage 6-7 Lakh per annum (depends of you marks, publication, moots and how you perform during internship or interview)

- Practise: average 30,000 per month

- NGO/think tank: average 30,000 per month

-In house Counsel: same or near to what corporate sector give

However, all this is subject to a lot of things. How you perform in your 5 years, your extra curicullar activity, Moots and publication and most importantly the rank of your NLU
