Every branch has its own inportance ; we can not ingnore any one of the branch because all are interlinked .
But salary and income in CSE and IT sector is more as compared to others ( we can earn in any branch depend upon our ability and skills ).
But now a days robotics and drawn and other automatic gadgets are in demanding ; so coding and designing are in very demanding.
So you can go in any field ; just do your best and do that in which you are interested.
From mechanical and civil ; you can go easily in Government sector as compared to other branches.

The best branch in B.Tech in terms of demand and placements is Computer Science. As these days, many foreign companies have been outsourcing their technical work to India, the tech giants have been continuously recruiting students of CSE. The scope of the course beyond the national boundaries is also very vast. It is the most popular course among B.Tech candidates.
There is no such bad course, every course has decent placements for its students.
