Will PEC Chandigarh be converted to an iit? If yes then when will it be converted i.e which year.

Hi John,
According to the last year reports it was notified that PEC will be converted into IIT within 2-3 years.
But it is for sure that PEC CHANDIGARH will be converted into IIT

I have a confussion that colleges that teach b.tech only those colleges can be converted to iit , for iit itself provide students with b.tech degrees but PEC Chandigarh provides B.E.
