Indian Maritime University, Mumbai Port Campus Admission Process

Indian Maritime University (IMU) is a central university in India that offers various undergraduate and postgraduate programs in the field of maritime studies. Admission to IMU is highly competitive and requires candidates to meet certain eligibility criteria and go through a selection process. The university will also offer research programmes such as the Ph.d. program and MS by research. Admission to UG, MBA, and M.Tech will be held through IMU CET, and for BBA through IMU BBA. If the candidates have appeared for the entrance exam, they have to fill the application form, submit the required documents, and attend for an entrance interview. IMU Mumbai Application Procedure

The candidates must first register themselves online on the IMU website.
After successful registration, the candidates are required to fill an application form.
Candidates have to submit all the requisite documents.
Once the application form is submitted, the candidates must appear for a written examination.

IMU UG Admission 2024

Indian Maritime University provides admission to various UG courses such as BBA, B.Tech., and B.Sc. in different fields. The admission to UG programmes will be based on the IMU CET scores.

IMU UG Admission Procedure 2024

Visit the official website and check the admission requirements for the IMU program.
Fill out the application form and submit it along with all necessary documents, such as educational transcripts, exam results, and other required documents.
Pay the application fee to complete the process.
Candidates should attend the IMU CET exam to get admission into the IMU program.
Candidates should attend the personal interview as specified by the IMU Mumbai Port for admission.

IMU PG Admission 2024

Indian Maritime University will provide two PG courses in different fields, such as MBA and M.Tech. The duration of the programme is two years.

M.Tech Marine Engineering and Management	Candidates must have completed a BE/B.Tech in Mechanical Engineering, Naval Engineering, or Marine Engineering with 60% from recognised university.
M.Tech Naval Architecture and Ocean Engineering	The candidate must be a graduate in mechanical, marine, civil, or naval architecture with 60% marks.
M.Tech Dredging and Harbour Engineering
MBA Port & Shipping Management	The candidate must have completed graduation with 50% from recognised university and a minimum of 50% marks in English.
MBA International transportation & Logistics Management

IMU PG Admission Procedure 2024

Application: Candidates should begin the admission process by filling out the application form available on the IMU, Mumbai Port, official website.
Document Submission: Submit the required documents, such as marksheets, certificates and others along with the application form.
Entrance Test: Candidates must appear for the IMU CET conducted by the Mumbai Port Trust to be eligible for admission.
Interview: After the entrance test, selected candidates will be called for an interview.
Selection: Candidates will be selected based on their performance in the entrance test and interview and pay the admission fee.
Admission: Selected candidates must then complete the admission process by paying the admission fees and submitting the required documents.

Academics

Studying BTech Marine Engineering. Quality of teaching is good by well qualified faculty like scientists, engineers, chief engineers by profession. Everything is routine based and rules and regulations are well maintained. Sports event, cultural events, annual fest. Scholarship facility is also available

Experience is different from other colleges.

does lateral enter candidate has to give cet

Hello,

Mostly colleges takes JEE main for engineering admission and cutoff for lateral entry is different than 12th pass out students admission. Some colleges conducts a different exam for lateral entry candidates.

There is no separate exam to be taken. You will get selected as per your score in KEAM exam.

Indian Maritime University:- It has not given the cutoff. It accepts IMU-CET for admission. It provides Btech in marine engineering.

When lateral entry application starts?

Hello,

Indian Maritime University will release the application form registration window from 1st week of april in online mode. The last date will be around 2nd week of may.

For OBC and General the fees for application form is Rs.1000. and for ST/SC is 700. Candidates have to pay online.

the eligibility criteria for the exam is;-

Candidates must have passed 10 and 12 from a recognized board and must have Physics,Chemistry,Mathematics and English as major subjects. For general the percentage bar is 60% aggregate and minimum 50% in english. For SC/ST , there is 5% relaxation in aggrregate percentage but not in english subject.
